LG's Spot: St. Louis Studio Details
Over several years, I transformed a 900 sq. ft. subterranean space into a private theater and audio/video production studio. The unique industrial-style construction, featuring exposed rafter beams, allows for unlimited lighting, camera and mounting possibilities.
At the core of the audio capture setup is a Focusrite 18i20 interface paired with a Focusrite OctoPre expansion, providing a total of 16 channels with dedicated mic preamps for recording. The audio rack includes a 300W power amplifier and an 8-channel headphone and monitor amplifier, ensuring everyone in the room can have their own mix-adjustable headset, along with Behringer F1320D 300W floor wedges for in-room monitoring. I've recorded podcasts, documentaries, as well as music for many solo musicians & bands here, and am very flexible in terms of use case / space setup needs.
The space also features a 10ft theater screen with an HD projector and a Polk 5.1 surround sound system - also great for listen-backs, visual inspiration, creative backdrops or watching movies! Everything is connected to 1GB fiber internet and there is a private wifi network. We are able to livestream from the space with HD video and audio, and I am familiar with using livestream software like OBS, as well as integrating to the major social media/streaming platforms [Twitch, Facebook, YouTube, etc].
I have dozens of versatile lighting, audio & video capture devices [including mics, cables, mounts etc] on site as well.
Images from various filmed productions are below. This studio can be rented with or without an engineer present. Rates depend on your use case and equipment/engineer needs, but are generally budget friendly.
The theater/main recording room is approximately 500 sq feet. There is also a 225sq ft separate staging/storage/control room [which can also be set up as a second live recording room if desired] and a private bathroom.
